Engineer found ‘major structural damage’ at condo three years before collapse. Search continues as anxious families wait

An engineering consultant said “failed waterproofing” below the pool deck and entrance drive had led to significant deterioration of the concrete of the condo tower in Surfside. It's unknown yet whether the damage played a role in the collapse of the Champlain Towers South tower.
